What is a Web Developer?
A web developer is a programmer who creates programs and applications for the web. Web developers know how to build a website from scratch: they have the ability to produce custom code to accommodate the needs of their clients or employers.
What does a Web Developer do?
Web developers set up the back end and front-end of a website, and they create these site with the needs of their clients and consumers in mind. The work of a web developer is typically very project oriented and involves collaborating with a team of people who help put together the client's needs with the end product.
Web developers typically create the layout of a website, creating a visually interesting home page and user-friendly design, and may sometimes write content for the website. After a website is up and running, developers make sure that the site is functional on all web browsers, and they also test and update sites as needed.
Web developers also work in conjunction with Graphic Designers for graphics, layout appeal to visitors and SEO specialists for optimal web visibility.
